The full colored cover image for a 68 page comic I completed in 2004 entitled 'Flea-bitten Sisters' about a surrogate family's adventure across a fantasy world named Nira. This first story involved them surviving the destruction of their village at the hands of Jakku, an iron clad 50 foot high ogre seen looming in the background. He has a less then pleasant disposition and sadistic sense of humor. The signs on his back are in Japanese and basically the names of other monsters he has defeated, such as Garag, Triassic Blue and Dabadan.
But enough about the villain, onto our heroes. Kate Marnita, the Nekojin (humanoid cat relation) with the dark red hair is an extremely cynical woman, but ultimately a very good friend and fighter to this small family unit. Tabitha, Kate's younger blue haired sister, is a calm and rational lady and a sort of a book worm. She seems to be far more mellow, if not meek, compared to Kate, but has a mean streak of her own, especially since she's always being eyed by perverted men for her beauty and bust size. Tabitha is also an amateur expert in dragons.
The blond haired human is Jessica Raymond, the calm and stern leader and mother to the group. Although nearing her 30s, she's still able to keep her youth in spirit and uses it along with her maturity and intelligence. Her birth son, Joey, is a quiet, somewhat odd child who doesn't say much, unless he's hanging out with the coolest girl in his 7 year old world, Kate. He takes after his father, Brad in appearance also and for no conceivable reason, smells like pickles most of the time. Now why is the father Brad absent from the picture you ask? Let's just say we have Jakku to thank for that.
