Garaga is another original creation I made for the online fan fiction series 'Ultra Theresa' and is currently being used in other non-fan fiction endeavors of mine. His height is 38 meters, and mass is probably around 30,000 tons. Here's his original origins which pretty much remain the same elsewhere, but obviously excluding the Theresa references.

Features and Powers: Garaga is a crusty old sea monster with seaweed, oversized barnacles, and other muck growing from his natural, rocky black skin. This is the result of being so old. His head is larger in comparison to his body with thinly green eyes, yellowish teeth, and a dimly glowing light rod protruding from his forehead that can fire strong bolts of electricity. Garaga has also found a way to make some of the older seaweed growth to act as mobile tentacles, that he uses to ensnare opponents and, if enough newer growth is available, able to trap them within a sort of 'seaweed cocoon', which is quite unbreakable. Because of his long life, Garaga is an excellent and experienced fighter from countless battles with human and monster alike.

History: Garaga is one of the most ancient sea monsters to ever (and still) live, born probably in prehistoric times when such beasts held dominance over the oceans. Originally, he was more fish like in shape, but as time went on, his body became more adapted to both water and land as an amphibious creature. In other words, he's been around for so long, he's evolved on his own! During the days of medieval Japan and it's warring nations, Garaga was a notorious beast who meddled in human sea going affairs, but when the 1700s came, Garaga retired from monster rampaging and took rest in the bay of a small and then uninhabited island somewhere off Japan in the Pacific. As Garaga slept, stories of his adventures slowly faded into obscure Japanese folklore and children's nursery rimes. And the island, of who he chose its bay as his bed, became a small community of main islanders shortly after the end of WW2. Garaga slept and slept until one day, in the not too near future, both his island and his peace was invaded and disturbed...by a friendly, but hiccup cursed manatee relation and a hotshot pilot from the Monster Eradication Unit.

Further Comment: Garaga is actually an inspired update of what has to be my oldest original kaiju, Garag the Seaweed Monster. The original story, which I concocted when I was 9, was about an alien life force coming to Earth and merging with seaweed in the legendary Sargasso Sea. In other words, sort of a hybrid rip-off of Hammer's 'The Lost Continent', the Seaweed Monsters of the Hanna-Barbera Godzilla toons, and an episode from the first 'Outer Limits'. The first design was a walking upright pile of seaweed with two long yellow tentacles for arms and eyes and the ends of two similar antenna at the top of its head. Later, Garag had a more menacing facelift with yellow horns replacing the antennae and GMK Godzilla like eyes. Eventually I started making better monsters, like my early version of Solodaks and Garag was dropped until resurrected as the more likable and probably more opposing Garaga.
