"Miki the Sphinx" by Rafael Crazy Gonzalez

Daughter of the infamous Monster Mother, Echidna, Miki was a mischievous and thus deadly winged lion-giantess who for many years terrorized Nira with her childish, but deadly antics. In other words, she was a 30-foot tall teenage brat who cared nothing for anything that didn't concern her and her alone. That was until the age of 17, when she met Phil Amozoh, a wondering young human warrior who came to end her life for her past mayhem. Although he was sent to kill her, and she who usually killed all whom tried, the two instantly fell in love at first sight and neither could do what they originally planed on doing. Yes, she was 5 times bigger then him and he 5 times smaller then her, but for over 6 months, Phil and Miki were the happiest couple for miles around. And for a while, Miki stopped her evil ways and Phil knew that it was better to have happen this way. But sadly, Miki couldn't behave for long and eventually returned to her old, destructive, selfish self. On one breezy moon lit Saturday evening, Phil regretfully made his final good-byes to her. Angered, Miki attacked Phil, which he had no choice but to defend himself. After the terrible fracas, Miki was left for dead by Phil. Miki eventually recovered, but was so sadden and outraged that she become more mellow and wiser. Now she travels all of Nira, not doing any of the chaos she once brought but instead now calmly lives her life and treat others decently as well. For now she has a more important, personal goal to accomplish, one that needs for her to be silent and obscure. And that is to locate her ex-boyfriend and rip his bloody head off!

CREATOR'S COMMENTS: Miki is obviously inspired by the Sphinx of Greek legend. And the idea of Miki romantically being with a human was triggered by an ancient vase painting of the Sphinx with the hero Oedipus, which looked more like two friends enjoying each other's company then a man trying to answer his way out of death from the monster's riddle.
