What explanation does this really need?

But yes, this story does have a point.
That point is to prove the point that stories don't necessarily have to have a point.

“Way back when, when the Itonama were still known of, something happened. The profluent cornice of Mt. Pinikee disappeared. In fact, the whole mountain vanished, and it is said that the reason was an earthquake.

“Those who say that, however, lie, or at very least are sadly mistaken. The real cause was an outburst of London Mongoose Disease, which caused the flying potties to veer off from their normal migratory course and collide with said mountain, demolishing it.

“The inquisitors of Phynomia, when they discovered such from a puce fairy previously living in a lilac bush, applied a very odd indirect syllogism and decided that cheese is good. However, they got no further. That afternoon, a participant in a photo finish race went back in time and killed them all with nerve gas. He continues to withhold his reasons.”

The innkeeper sighed and took a deep drought of the noxious liquor in his tankard as the elf sitting across from him blankly put his jaw back on. “See?” he asked the elf while wiping his chin. “Stories can have no point. In fact, such stories are quite common. It’s sad.”

“Funny thing is,” he added reflectively, “this one actually happened.”

Pointless. Amusing. What else is there to say?

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo i love it!
But whats funny, is that not only can stories be pointless, but so can the world all together.

:-) Kim Schoonover (FreeBSD/i386 [moose] [ttyv5]) replies: "Retired Mime: Life is pointless. *mimes dying*

It seems that all we are here for is to demolish the land we were given, to pollute and steel land from those who try to protect it, but then end up in some zoo. Or eat pancakes... O_o

But you dont want to hear my ranting, so ill just let you have the introduction. Ranting is fine here, don't worry.

I loved this peice, and i request more pointless writings. Of course if you are not minding my requesting. For if you are, then ido mind the fact that you mind my reqests, because i do wish for them to be fulfilled, and btw im just being a pain, so you musnt read any further. Anyhow, i shall read the remaining stories...Say, anytime inbetween tomorrow, and...Two years from now? I'm not being very inspired these days, so... Whenever you like. I'm not going anywhere. *pokes the queue and grumbles*

I shall see you then *flashes a wicked grin*Comment From The Trained Monkeys: *wave in unison*"

Hey, She of Way Too Many Llamas! I'm making a tour of short stories. Do you care if I include this one?

:-) Kim Schoonover (FreeBSD/i386 [moose] [ttyv5]) replies: "Hey, cool. That would be awesome. ^.^"

Haha... a very good idea for a short story, and so funny! Really hilarious... I like it! ^^ I'll read more of your stories sometime ^.^ What I've seen so far seems really good hehe~

:-) Kim Schoonover (FreeBSD/i386 [moose] [ttyv5]) replies: "Hey, glad you like it, and I hope you will read more someday... this one's actually kind of old. "

This reminds me of the story of the Amoeba that was kick-zoomed all the way to china by the crazy seagull that said hahaha because the whale died. There she met superman, whom she fell in love with, but superman ended up marrying a fly cuz it could fly like him.
(...)
That was stupid.
Your story was a lot nicer!! I laughed! Nyahaha! There should be more stories like this one, don´t you think?

:-) Kim Schoonover (FreeBSD/i386 [moose] [ttyv5]) replies: "^.^ Woot.Maybe... but then they'd all seem kind of stupid, because more of them would probably lead to people actually thinking about how stupid such stories really are... or something. O_o"

Actually, I’d like the word "pointless" removed from the dictionary. I mean, what is NOT pointless? For what purpose do we live at all?
But then again, that kind of thinking is WAY too negative. Look at the bright side of live and all that, you know. So, rather then saying that all is pointless, I like to say that NOTHING is pointless. We’re here for a purpose. We write for a purpose. Some mountains move themself for a purpose, even though they try to hinder it for a hundred years. Which, of course, they also do for a purpose.
And there’s a purpose in me writing this awfully long and silly comment. Luckily though, I do not know what purpose it is. O.o

:-) Kim Schoonover (FreeBSD/i386 [moose] [ttyv5]) replies: "Did I seriously forget to reply to this? o_O?

But I prefer the utterly pointless approach! Much more amusing. ^^
Luckily?"

The epitome of pointlessness. I loved it, ha! Nothing better than a good pointless story that points to the fact that it doesn’t need to have a point, but inherently does posses one by proving it needs none. Pardon me while I make sense of what I just wrote.

::walks off mumbling::

:-) Kim Schoonover (FreeBSD/i386 [moose] [ttyv5]) replies: "There is no sense to be made, I assure you. You see, it is a lucky fact that the entire universe has no net point, for all points within cancel each other out... or was that charge?

...Am I mixing up rhetoric with physics again? O_o"
