SciFi and Fantasy Art Tragedy: Black Pearl by Curt Rapala

I drew this many many months ago, if not years. I inked it about half way, and then forgot about it, like many drawings.

HOWEVER, I always liked the way this one was going, and recently foun myself motivated to finish it. So I did.

Originally, I was going for kind of a pirate theme in her outfit, but then I kindof abandoned that idea halfway through the drawing... but you can still see the influence in there a little. That's why I picked the title that I did. I wanted something that sounded dark, yet pretty, and related to pirates. Then that popped into my head and I said, "Bingo!"

I'm pround of myself for actually drawing out all the streaking in her hair, rather then just drawing blank hair and coloring it in later
