I couldn't help but notice the Bard and Mage business...ever read any Heralds of Valdemar books by Mercedes Lackey? Anyway, if you have, it means that you are at least half-way intelligent (unlike SOME cough coughsimian-descended little mortal twerps) and it means you won't give me blank looks when I make a reference to characters such as Talia, Skif, Lavan, Myste or even Alberich who happens to be one of my favourites.
