Rachel Day

Hi there. Glad you dropped by my gallery. I sincerely hope you aren't regretting the experience. But they say suffering is good for the soul, so you should really thank me, right?

Who do you happen to be? I'm first and foremost a writer of fantasy novels, and I hope to be on my way to being published within the next century. I draw as a hobby, and most of the art you will see in this gallery is of my own characters from my own novels. The other pictures here come from my favorite books.

Oh, you read a lot? Well then, what are some of your favorite books? So glad you asked, you nice person. I have trouble pinpointing favorite books in a vast sea of candidates, but favorite authors include C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, J.K. Rowling, Sherwood Smith (Crown Duel), Meredith Ann Pierce (The Darkangel Trilogy) and Clare B. Dunkle (The Hollow Kingdom Trilogy). 

I hope you don't spend all your time reading. That sounds quite unhealthy. How much do you spend yearly on eyedrops? Well, I waste way too much time playing RPGs, but you won't hear about that in this space-

Oh. Occasionally, I even get to go out and do some horseback riding, but it's not often enough.

So your interests are... What are you, a stalker? Why don't you ask where I live next? Siiiigh. My interests are horses, animals in general, history, languages, religion, folklore and mythology.

Total nerd-alert. Go away.

I suppose I should ask about your artistic influences. I wish you hadn't. The only ones I can think of are Rembrandt, Da Vinci, Alphonse Mucha, C.W. Anderson, Yoshitaka Amano and Dan DeCarlo.
