SciFi and Fantasy Art The Hammer by Benjamin James Redant

This is a character I actually play on the mud, named Erik, whose nickname is 'The Hammer' and so I found myself trying to appease the most difficult critic: Myself. This guy was supposed to be older, broader, with more experience on him than previous drawings. I did a few versions I wasn't completely satisfied with, so I just figured I was using the wrong models. I found the perfect one for the face, and for the body structure, WWF's Taz. Just made him hairier, a little older, and dressed in armor. The face is Taz's, though the body kind of just grew around him. Still, I was rather pleased with the result... ** UPDATE ** I finally got up the courage to mess with this picture, adjusting the seams of the armor to line up more accurately with the center of his chest. I used a little graphite legerdemain and some blurring to cover up the unerasable lines. Here it is.
