It's been a while since i did anything in watercolours, and i have renewed my love of them - i wanted to do something warm and sunny and happy since it is SO cold at this time of year. Your average mermaid, sitting on your average beach, enjoying the warmth of a summer afernoon, with the cool surf lapping at her fins.

I miss summer....oh to feel warm again!

However, it looks like her peace and quiet might be ruined in the moment - two mortal children have spotted her from across the dunes. Will they fetch the adults? or perhaps this could be the start of a brand new adventure?

Oh, that looks so warm! Don’t get me wrong, I’m thrilled we are having the first real winter in years, but does it have to be so freaking cold?!

I like the mermaids! Especially redheaded ones. The only problem is...I even LOOK at a picture of a beach, I get sand in my shorts. *scratches bum* What thu.....

Well, it is a balmy 79 degrees here! It is the first really nice day that hasnt been overcast or rainy in weeks. For a while there, I thought aliens had abducted me and taken me to England, or Washington state! I think the two interchangeable at times!
