Under the moonlight she waits, for the Moon to rise and the night to wake. For Vlad's children to rise, and the spirits to walk again. Under the moon she waits, for All Hallow's Eve.

Just something i did for the Halloween contest, your basic witch. Albeit a darn-cool witch. - i tried out a new, more graphic style on this one - basic cell colouring, with a bit of shading. I made the castle myself (and am absurdly proud of it) and th etree and owl/bats are custom-shapes. She is meant to have a slight aura about her, but it is hard to see here. :(

Woa Nat! This is purrdy! This new style is well worth the effort. (The only place where I don’t see her aura is by the moon, otherwise it’s perfectly visible 2

:-) Natalie Adams replies: "yeah the moon is quite pale and the aura didn’t show very well 8
but thanks so much, glad you liked it. xx"

This is awesome, Nat. And it suits the theme a bit better. Go with this one. I just uploaded my entry, so it’ll be up soon. It’s stupid and it won’t be able to compete with the likes of this but I’m putting it in anyway.

:-) Natalie Adams replies: "10 don’t be silly MT. Everyone has an equal chance, trust me your stuff is well worthy! 2
Thanks for the advice, i will enter this one 2 thanks again xx"

WOOOOOT NOOOOOO IM LATE ARHHHHH. i really really really lyk this i think it deserves a tashi fav stamp yay1 i love the mist smoke at the bottom, it really creates an aura of mystery and darkness. i LOVE that hair i really want that colour. i also LOVE.... i think ill safely say that i flipping LOVE the whole thing

Well done Natalie! 1

Though I can’t say which one among the two options is better because they’re both great pieces and very different than one another. But I do think that this witch is much more suited for the contest theme.

I think you did an awesome job on her pose and the way her hat is hiding her face is absolutely fantastic. The colors are also very authentic to the Halloween’s spirit, and all together I find this piece as a great one 18

Great job and good luck 12

:-) Natalie Adams replies: "aw thanks Yoni for such a constructive comment, really appriciated! 18"

Oh cool! Very nice Nat - have you considered expanding into the realms of graphic style at all? You seem to have a real talent for it 1 xx

:-) Natalie Adams replies: "never really thought about it before, it is always sammi’s area of experties! 2"

I like-um the spiders!!!!! I like the hoot owl as well!!! This is very cool!! What did you use for the mist? Certainly has that whole ’Alice in Wonderland’ feel to it!!! I would like to see maybe a female vampire done in this same style!!! Bet that would turn out really nice!!!!

:-) Natalie Adams replies: "oooh that is a really good idea! 1 thank you, that’ll be my next project. 2 the mist was done with just a semi-transparent brush, then majorly squiggled with the smudge tool! (note the use of very technical wording there 12 )
this is still one of my faves."

Cool shadows, and the houses in the background looks a bit like ghosts. Nice hat, but what’s she holding in her hand?1

:-) Natalie Adams replies: "they do a bit don’t they? 2
it’s meant to be a wand/staff-like thing..okay it’s a cool, twisty twig! lol"
