SciFi and Fantasy Art Angel with Swords by Evan Rees

Details: Another piece I did in high school, this time at the request of a friend, and he asked for an angel that looked really sweet.
Medium: #2 pencil, on 8 1/2" x 11" typing paper.
Time: I don't know, it was a while back... probably around 2 and a half hours?
Inspiration: Commission: He asked for an angel. Angel's look inspired by some of the angels of the trading card game he and I used to play, Magic: The Gathering.
Date: Mid 2003

Fighting for heavan, this angel warrior wields two blades of light. (And wields them like no other.) That is just what they are called though, they are actually enchanted, and are white-hot, so they look like they are made of light. No back story on her really; she probably just got done winning a battle, and is giving thanks for the victory.

Evan Rees replies: "Yeah, My original idea (which is ancient) was of a male angel, but my friend and I both liked Magic, so I made it look like it could be from one of those armies..."
