This is the illustration for the sequel to George RR Martin's story 'Blood of the Dragon'. I was lucky enough to do the follow up illustration as well as the original. I chose to use the exact composition and body stamce of the first piece. I though it would be sort of neat looking if they were ever compared side by side. My favorite thing about this piece is the background. It has a lot of, what I like to call, 'fidgety bits', little pieces that would go unnoticed unless pointed out. Little people, windows, statues, bushes, cluds, mountains and buildings combine to create a cool landscape. Don't forget to notice the three dragons flying in the background, too.

*gapes* Astounding... My my, this is beautiful! The expression is so cool! Very very realistic, in a smug, I-know-what-I'm-doing sort of way. And the hair! WOW! Gosh, it really seems as if I could reach out and touch it. This is absolutly amazing, and if the praise of a simple little doodler means anythign to you, you've got it. Go YOU!

:-) Darryl Elliott replies: "Hi,Thanks for the comments. Actually, I struggled a lot with her hair. I think I worked on it more than anything else. I wanted to add a lot more ornamentation to it, but I got tired of drawing it!Ha!"

If this one doesn't get a mod's choice I'm gonna strangle them! 10 No, but it's a wonderful picture!

And, *does first-comment-dance* I'm first comment on this, which is most unbelievable, but anyways. I love her expression, so... um.. what's the word? Ah, never mind, it's amazing!
