Just a poem written. A very bad one, but I tried to make it a little scary.

In the shadows the noise grows

Louder and louder it seems.

The whirling of sounds,

the fear that grips

a vice squeezing all the courage.

Deep and dark

the way it seems,

any who go never come back.

Take up your sword, be the one

who beats that beast that lurks in there.

Step by step,

travel slow.

No one knows if you'll ever come back

and you don't know.

I like it, simple yet tells an entire story... that last line though.... maybe something more simple like ~ will you? ~ just an idea. Namaste.

:-) Renee Reizman replies: "I know what you mean. I had a hard time thinking up of a last line for that. I might change it to that, I'm not sure. Thanks for the tip."

Oooh, I love this! It isn't badly written at all! I love the line about "take up your sword". Great imagery there.

Hey, I think this is a really good piece. I also write poetry and things of that sort, so maybe we could compare our pices in school some time.
