The cross is very well designed, and the overall feeling is disturbing and sensual with out being too obviously sexual. (that's usually Giger's 'downfall', so much of his work is screamingly sexual, without any sublty at all, altho a lot of it is quite subversivly 'subliminal', like this.) I bet you'd get a bunch of hatemail from the 'Christians' that like to tell people how their going to hell for this and that... if they'd even look at it for more than half a second. Colors are warm, background is harsh, the floaty skull head guy is a nice counterpoint to the (rather thin?) girl. It's got a lot of nice juxtaposition. I just wish it pushed the limits on ElfWood's size restrictions as much as it pushes the 'excessively sexual' limits. A version at 1000 pixels and 200K would rock. | |
