"The Crucifixation" by Sherrie Spencer

Once again it reminds me ov Giger, yet it has its personal touch. I love the expression stained on her face. Half brave, half scared - prepared to deliver her body of svart sin to Death. I like the fact that she's a woman, not a man as we commonly see.

Wow, there's such symbolism in this piece. It's very narrative, did you have a storyline in mind when you painted this? The colors and composition really set the mood for this; it works really well.

Some SERIOUS Gigeresque symolism here, AND an awesome paining. I'm glad I'm not her. The cross is very well designed, and the overall feeling is disturbing and sensual with out being too obviously sexual. (that's usually Giger's 'downfall', so much of his work is screamingly sexual, without any sublty at all, altho a lot of it is quite subversivly 'subliminal', like this.) I bet you'd get a bunch of hatemail from the 'Christians' that like to tell people how their going to hell for this and that... if they'd even look at it for more than half a second. Colors are warm, background is harsh, the floaty skull head guy is a nice counterpoint to the (rather thin?) girl. It's got a lot of nice juxtaposition. I just wish it pushed the limits on ElfWood's size restrictions as much as it pushes the 'excessively sexual' limits. A version at 1000 pixels and 200K would rock.

Oh my god ! I love this pic !!!!!

This is deffinitely Giger looking but with a difference. It has a softnees about it that Gigers work doesn't have. But it's an excellent work of art and I like it very much.
