Greetings!

I'm a 27-year-old aerospace engineer who's working on her PhD now (and will be for a few more years, probably) and working for the Center for Space Research in Austin, Texas, USA. I'm originally from Wisconsin (near Milwaukee) and have two "little" (24-year-old, now) sisters as well as the usual two parents.

I've always enjoyed writing, though until college I read more than I wrote outside of class. Nowadays, I usually write novels, although I've got a few short stories and poems I'm proud of as well. I'm on Fictionpress as "RuathaWehrling", if you're truly interested. I write mostly as a hobby, although if/when I ever finish my main two novels, I might consider publishing, depending on how good I think they are at that point and how much effort it's going to take. But I started writing them for fun and for my best friend to read, so if no one else ever sees them, that's alright, too.

I suppose I should warn you guys that I'm a grammar freak as well as a plotline-must-make-sense-and-be-consistant freak. (I think that mostly comes along with the "engineer" label. We don't do very well with things that don't follow the rules or make logical sense!) Also, I love learning about characters and consider character development of great importance in any story longer than a few pages.
