This is Art. Hm. Been like ten years since last time I even used the word. You way cool.

:-) Rhodri McCormack replies: "Hey thanks, thought it time to fess-up-
Most of this gallery is not in my opinion Sci-fi, it was done while I was at art school and the meanings and context of the artworks has noting to do with fiction. Just so happens that the work can be passed of as Sci-fi here in elfwood giving me a chance to exhibit it to folks who might acctually like it."

Nobody hear mention Giger. That seems criminal to me. I really enjoy this style. I really enjoy this. Oh, and the future... Wheap awy. There is worse than war and famine. There is worse than anarchy. There is worse than bloodshed rampant. Do you know what that is? It is order. It is dicipline. It is peace. The government lie in silence as you use all these means of communication, never suspecting that they know all your little secrets. Technology is working for them. But war is worse. War just isn't what it used to be. Do you know what the last REAL war was. The second world war. The rest after that were either calndestine warfare, bullies and weaklings, or bomb theats. What's worse is that combat won't really even be combat. Who will fight the wars of the future? A brash fighter jock that never saw the face of a dying man and a fat loser pressing buttons,(I would say worse if it weren't Elfwood.)Worst of all is the people. The less said, the better. Running 'round in suicide, dancing on the corporation's strings. This lovely future. What did I ever do to deserve being born in this wonderful, blessed age.

cpt_glock@yahoo.com for more selfriteous stupidity

:-) Rhodri McCormack replies: "Oh yes Giger has been mentioned here!, go cheak out the coments under my pic "POND".

Yes but onto the future:
30000 years ago the total world human population was 250000, that world was lush, vertile and full of naturally existing food. Today there are around 5 billion people all farming the worlds soils to death and killing everything with polution and constructions. Soon we won't be able to feed owe selves and we should all die, with this thinking I predict the end of humans to be about 2 hundred years off, at the rate we are going we will all die of that I am sure. Provided that one of the U.S's super viruses dosn't kill us all first.
Funny thing is that people have been predicting "the end" since the beginning of industrialisation but always a new technology finds new resorces to tap into and put off the inevitable fall. But it won't be long untill the air isn't breathable and all the coal, oil, and uranium is gone. I think there is still hope if we can get off this rock and find some new worlds to colonise.
Technology: the thing that will destroy us is the only thing that can save us.
What a shity predicament we have go oweselves into."

The future is what we make of it. More importantly, each of our lives are what we make of them, for the most part. We must all of us try and do, and be, the best we can with the time that is given to us.

I'm not a big believer in ends. Sure, our greedy capatilistic society that cares nothing for its survival, only for its enrichment, will fall soon or late. Or, if we're lucky, transform instead. Every culture does. But the human spirit can, and will endure.

This image, however is beautiful...and I think having a bio-organic angel to weep for the evils of the past, present, and future is...fitting. But, its wings are still spread.

:-) Rhodri McCormack replies: "The part about our society falling is the part that bothers me because I know (and no don't mean 'beleive' but I 'know') that the fall will mean much death.
It's nice to see someone conect with this image, thanks."

Thank you for recognizing that fact, and yes you may use that "phrase"...Unless you meant to spell it fraze and i have no idea what that word means...

:-) Rhodri McCormack replies: "I would have spelled it your way but I'm a dumb-arse and I wrote it at around 4 in the morning... Hey thats like this reply, no wait it's actually 5am."

Don't feel bad because you spend money on cigarettes, i feel bad cause i'm too young to get a job and donate money. Instead i donate clothes (and my parents canned goods!) and i pray for the future and the children who are starving. (don't get mad cause i said "pray"...We are all different)

:-) Rhodri McCormack replies: "I think it's good that you pray for them, it shows your intent before the one whome you feel will be your final judge.
You tell me not to feel bad for waisting money on myself, kind of strange because by any measure I should indeed feel quite bad about it. I would reverse the advice and sujest that it is YOU who should not fell bad, it appears you are doing all that you resonably can which is far more than I.
So good on you, you are truly one of gods children, if a heathen like myself may use that fraze. "
