I got an inspiration after listening to Rhapsody of Paganini's theme by Rahmaninov several times. It's just.. it's a mood piece.

She lived in a white room. It had a ledge, where she used to lie on her back and watch the colourful spheres dance above her. There was no door, or windows in the room, and she did not know what they were. She had always lived in the room, watching the spheres dance their dance, and she could not remember anything else. The walls around her were pearly white, and her robes were pure white. She watched the spheres dance when she was awake, she watched them dance when she layed down to sleep and she watched them as she woke up. They were beautiful and she loved them.

Sometimes she rose to stand on the ledge and tried to reach the spheres. She would have loved to hold one in her hands, either one fo the smaller ones or a big one and watch the colour swirl inside it. Sometimes, if she concentrated hard enough, she could shape a new sphere between her hands, but she never managed to touch one, for they always flew above her to join the dance. The spheres did not radiate light or colour, they simply danced and they were glorious at that. She saw them and she knew they were the most beautiful thinsg she had ever seen, even if she could remember anything she might have once seen. Only the spheres.

They comforted her, and she trusted them to be there when she woke up. The colours swirled inside them and she felt safe inside her. Their beauty would always be there for her. Beyond her reach, but there for her. They were beautiful and she lived only to see them dance.

Sometimes, the spheres came down and danced around her, so close that if she had reached her hand she could have grabbed one of the smaller ones and trap it in her hand. But she did not do so. She was curious how it would feel like, but she knew she could never do that, for the spheres might stop their dancing. When they went around her, her robes reflected their colours and she was taken over by an amazing sensation, that she could feel in her whole body. A little red in her toes, a piercnig green on her hands, a bright yellow on her earlobe, and soft blue on her hips, and all the colours imaginable. She danced with them and she lost herself for hours only to the sensations they gived her.

The spheres danced above her as she lay down on the ledge. She rested her head on her hand and watched the spheres. How light they must be to dance so beautifully, she thought. For a moment she felt saddened, because she would fall asleep and not see the spheres dance. But then she saw one of the big spheres, an orange one, descend closer to her. Then, one by one, all the other spheres began to dance lower and lower still. She felt warm and soon enough a sensation of hot purple flowed through her. Her eyes were barely open and she fell asleep the spheres safely around her, protecting her.

She dreamed of dancing with the spheres, she dreamed of holding the spheres like they held her with sensations and in her sleep her lips curved into a happy smile. The spheres danced.

I was in a room that was entirely padded with white cotton. It was a disconcerting experience, really. All the sounds were muffled. It felt as though my ears were stuffed full of cotton, too. And my brains.

Yeah, I think I agree with Cecily. Stuff, and so on.If you had cotton as your brains, how could you have lived?

O-kay. I'll admit that I didn't like it that much, not because it wasn't well written but because it just isn't the type of writing I like, you know? Like someone disliking the a painting just because they don't like paints.
Thats... really... it, I guess. It was good, nut just not me.Hey, a refreshing change! Good, don't like it 2. It's weird.

Nice story, you have set an interesting mood . I like the fact this was inspired by listening to Rachmaninoff- I can see the spheres dancing to that music. Different, but very memorable story.
