This was done in sculpture class.  basicly I made the griffen, took a mold of it with plaster, and then filled the mold with concrete.  Unfortunally the concrete didn't get into all smaller areas of the mold and the front  legs broke off.  I do plan to fix it one day, but for now this 50lb griffen stands guard on my deck.  2006

This is an especially nice gryphon. A tad chubby, but otherwise really nice proportions. The details still look good, even if they didn’t fill in right. You should consider marketing this as garden statuary. I bet it would sell well.
