These guys come from two different cultures who live on the same planet. One species lives during the day, the other during the night. They never intermingle, because each tells horrible stories about the other, though they are decended from the same ancestors. These two meet while adventuring during dusk and they're going to break all the rules and bring their cultures together again.

this is my favourite. reminds me of that star trek character.. neelix, I think he is called.

:-) Lauren E. Ritchie replies: "I know neelix, he's a pretty funny character. Hmm, actually, I thought he looked a bit like neelix after I coloured him too."

I like it thats a great story to go with the picture too ....Very deep, beautiful

:-) Lauren E. Ritchie replies: "Thanks, it just kind of came to me while I was drawing the picture."

I think the storyline is better than that of Romeo and Juliet because I'm learning about, again, in school and Romeo and Juliet's attractions to eachother were based purely on physical appearances, and the image is really well done....

:-) Lauren E. Ritchie replies: "I wasn't actually thinking of doing a Romeo and Juliet theme, since this story has a happy ending, and also I've never read the play. Thanks for the comment."

Ooh, contrast. I love the little moon symbol. And, I love contrast. Nice piccie.

:-) Lauren E. Ritchie replies: "Thanks, I'm rather happy with the sun/moon symbol. I wanted something to fill up the gap there, and it just came to me. "

One can see the work you have put into and the colors really good. They show perfectly who is living at day and who at night. One thing that you (if it isn`t intended) could do to make the faces look more realistic is to put the eyes into the middle of a face (in most of your pics)because in nature there is the same distance between the eyes and the chin and between the eyes and the top of the head. Just have a look at your own face.
I think if you keep on drawing you`ll get better and better by each pic you create.

:-) Lauren E. Ritchie replies: "Thank you for the comments. I know I need to work on my eyes, and I'm trying. We'll just have to see if I keep getting better."

It is a wonderful picture and reminds me of the souls of people as they meet and fall in love the colours are spectacular.

It sweet, something like romeo and juliet type thing. I love the ears! You did a great job on them and i like the fact that they are different. Oh also, nice colors!

Very cool idea. Reminds me of a story I never wrote, where the day people were green and the night people were albinos. Your aliens are better.

:-) Lauren E. Ritchie replies: "I don't think mine are better. Your story sounds very interesting."

How very Romeo and Juliet! And cute t'boot. I love how you use such bright colours! There are so many pieces fluffing about that I have to adjust my monitor just to look at! Nice change of pace. (I really like the little icon at top it does a great job of explaining the piece without words, clever!)
