Cookie's all yours, hun! Thank ya much for the comments. Its nice to get the crit's that tell you everything thats wrong so you can fix it later, but its even better to get the one's that tell you everything thats right! And that new story you got up? It sounds sooo cool! Antigone was, like, my favorite drama in english last year. I've only gotten half way through it though... Its so long! heh. Long stories are cool though... Anyway when is the new Darian story getting up? I'm waiting oh-so-patiently for it! Just curious, what-cha do in the navy? Randy L. Anfinson II replies: "Glad to hear that your enjoying the new story thus far. I was almost done with Darian's Tale, but I had to take out a bunch of it because it didnt' work well. So...I'm still working on it, but I'm closer to having it done than I was a little while ago. Enjoy the rest of "Ismene.""
Wow its been a while... School's hell and everything... man, I had my first day off yesterday and it felt like it should have lasted forever but instead it was like two hours. Sorry if I'm not making sense... Maybe, maybe not...
PURPLE PANCAKES! Can I be random here? I'm in one of those moods. Want a riddle? Cause I got one for you...
A box without hinges, key, or lid, Yet golden treasure inside is hid.
What is it? Randy L. Anfinson II replies: "Man, I'm terrible at riddles...they've never been my thing. Oh, and you are allowed to be as random as you want to be."
Hey Randy, I just happened to look at your map up there... Are you stationed in Washington? Randy L. Anfinson II replies: "Actuallly yes, I am stationed in Washington. In Everett to be exact, though we spend more time at sea than I would like. I also happen to be from Washington, so it worked out for the best that I got stationed here. My entire family resides here, and my wife is from here."
Oh my god! That's so cool! I lived in Everett for a year. My brother was born there! And me, I was born in Bermerton. Years and years ago. Ok, not so many years... My dad was on the Lincoln when we were there. Wow... That's great. You on the Lincoln too?
Man, that made my morning! Randy L. Anfinson II replies: "How did you do it? Live in Everett that is? I still don't live there, even though I am stationed there. I am on the Lincoln, though at times I wish I wasn't. We go out to sea WAY too often. I know Bremerton quite well too, since Puget Sound Naval Shipyard is there, and the Lincoln was in yards there for a while. I did live there, but only for about a year or so. I moved away just before the ship let drydock."
So... You're just gonna give up on the riddle... tsk, tsk. Ah, well. Here it is:
An egg!!! Can't open it, and its yellow inside. Or gold as they put it...
How did I live in Everett? Man, I think the only thing I liked about that place was the fact that I had a park right across the street. And an upstairs neighbor with bunk beds... Haha. I had also lived in Kingston, I think it is. Lived right on the water. Nice, huh? Although it was so cold the whole time we were there... I loved that place cause we had the biggest backyard! It was great. I remember I had gotten chicken pox for the second time in my life that winter and I still got to go out in the snow. And I had no gloves so I used oven mits. Ha! We had to get rid of our german shepard cause we were moving to Everett... She was the sweetest dog. Ok, enough reminscing for me! Randy L. Anfinson II replies: "Everett is Evil, I tells ya! Eeeeevvvvvilllll. But I only say that because my ship is stationed there, and they are too lazy to build a shipyard, so anytime we have to go into yards, we have to go to Bremerton. That is a freakin long commute from Kirkland. "
Hey! A tour is up with some of your work! Go, check it out! Randy L. Anfinson II replies: "Wow, is it your tour?? If it is, I am greatly honored, and if it isn't, thanks for letting me know about it."
Oh man, Randy... You cant' believe what a horrible time I'm having. I haven't been allowed on the computer in AGES!!! It nearly killed me leaving tihe site like I did. I'm so sorry I haven't been around. I've got a short story that may or may not be extended (got to many projects a t once) on the way, if only I could the bloody html formatting to work for me. I asked a friend for help so hopefully it will be up in a while. I got a couple chapters for both stories written but they have yet to be put to the computer... Jeez, this is infuriating! I hate that I haven't been around! I feel like I did something terrible stopping this. Ah well, maybe getting some new stuff up will cheer me up. Kinda late to be asking, but how were your holidays? Randy L. Anfinson II replies: "How come you couldn't get on the computer. Was your net down or something. Happens on the ship all the time, and let me tell you, its really freakin' annoying. I look forward to reading your new stuff. Oh, and by the way, my holiday was great. I had a blast, but that was mostly because my wife and I had our first baby, so it made the Holidays that much better. It was a great christmas present."
Hey! new installments to Darian's Tale! At least I think its new... Haven't been on in a while. Anyway, I'm gonna go read now! I can tell you though its gonna be great! Randy L. Anfinson II replies: "Although the story to which you refer isn't a new installment of Darian's Tale, you should be happy to know that I am working on a new one. Also, I finished chapter one of another story that I am currently working on, which I think you'll really like. When it get out of moderation, give it a read and let me know what you think."
O.k. I'm here and that new story you were telling me about is up! Now all I have to do it read it! And I definitely will! Happy sailing! Randy L. Anfinson II replies: "I hope you enjoy the new story, even though the formatting somehow got messed up. I have another version of it in moderation right now, so hopefully the problem will be fixed. Also, I had to resubmit the illustration in the glossary, so that will be up soon as well."
