My illustrator career started at a very young age, when I was commissioned to create book covers for a series of Star Trek books by an Italian publisher.
I started painting in '94, coming from a computer graphic background (see Deluxe paint on the old glorious Amiga). Most of the oil paintings in this gallery were created in the mid '90s, when I had just started painting and I was concentrating on studying the technique of the illustration master, Boris Vallejo. Don't hesitate to leave comments and don't forget visit my website for a lot more artworks and TUTORIALS.
During the past 15 years, I have created hundreds of dazzling fantasy artworks and illustrations for all the major publishers in the United States. Amongst my clients you can find Lucas Arts, Marvel, DC, Penguin Books and many more. Occasionally, I have also worked for videogame companies as background and texture artist and also 3d animator. My style is very flexible, varying from ultra realistic to anime.
I have participated in several art shows both in Italy and the United States. My work can be seen on many book covers, often on news stands on magazine covers, comics books (Exalted, Hulk, Warlands, Street Fighter), trading card games (ShadowFist, Call of Cthulhu, WAR, World of Warcraft, A Game of Thrones CCG).
I live in central Florida (USA).

Maybe I'm just like Joan of Arc. Your paintings and drawings.....(in the old sense) awesome...even august. I'm impressed. | |
| 28 Jan 2006 | Anon. | Loading...The details of your anatomy are stunning, but I feel I must make a criticism about the legs of most of your females. If you look at "Lance","Dragon birth", and "Forest", you will notice what I'm talking about. If you were to straighten the arms of the figures down at their sides their finger tips would end at their knees. Most women's fingertips would end about 6 or 7 inches above the knee cap. Even women with shorter legs would not be that disproportionate. Also, the lower legs are much too short, furthering the illusuon that the women are awefully stumpy. I wouldn't have felt compelled to leave a comment if it were just one painting that suffered, but most of your female figures have this problem and you are much too good of a painter to let an anatomical mistake take over the visuals you provide. | |

| 29 Dec 2006 | Www.nokilleye.com <nokilleye@yah...com> | Loading...Based on your described timelime, you're saying you painted that stuff after only a couple years experience AND you don't do it anymore?! That is some amazing work under those conditions. You should probably keep pursuing that medium. I don't think that kind of natural ability surfaces in more than one medium in a lifetime. | |
