1-19-09: The first product of my drawing class is... a new profile picture! Not sure if the scant number of hours I'm taking is going to actually result in any less homework, but I'll try to work some fantasy into my class projects. We'll see if the prof is quite as enthusiastic about that... in the meantime, Happy New Years, all!
12-11-08: Whoops, looks like my last profile update didn't take. It's fixed now. I'm waitlisted for a drawing class next semester, so hopefully I'll be able to update more often soon!
8-25-08: Posted a request and a portrait of my latest D&D character. Classes begin again today, but I'm hoping the rather scant number of credits I'm taking should leave me with more free time. :)
Recent Updates:
Added: 'Gypsy Smoke,' and 'Sanguine.'
Revamped: None.
Name's up yonder, if you're looking. As for the other vital information: I'm twenty-one, occasionally referred to as the "All-Knowing Llama," and frequently cursed as a sadistic DM. (It's much more fun that way.) I bike, read fantasy & sci-fi, draw, play videogames, RP in both D&D worlds and the Star Wars galaxy, and I'm a bit of a grammar fanatic. Which is possibly why I'm majoring in English. (I have a Wyvern's shelf, if you happen to be interested.) On a side note, I tend to answer comments in sporadic, often late, bursts, but I do read and appreciate all criticism and compliments, even if it takes me a while to get off my lazy bum and reply. So, my thanks for visiting--hopefully you find something of interest.
Note: I'm not accepting requests or commissions at the moment, nor for the foreseeable future. Thanks for dropping by!

| 2 Aug 2008 | Ashy Casey | Loading...I like your smiley ^-^ Jessica Barnes replies: "Right back at ya. ^^ The Mario mushroom is awesome! Super Mario World is still one of my favorite games, despite the fact that I’ve been playing it since I was six... " | |
| 7 Aug 2008 | Trevor "poorjack" Long | Loading...very nice little gallery you have here! and a mods choice? lucky! check mine out for kicks and gigs. Jessica Barnes replies: "Thanks! Yeah, mods for the scratchboard. You should try it out sometime, it’s good fun! And not terribly difficult, either. *totters off to your gallery*" | |
| 14 Aug 2008 | Ashy Casey | Loading...Oh! I love 64 and Yoshi’s Island! Jessica Barnes replies: "Sweet! Yoshi’s Island wins! I haven’t actually played 64, since my family ended up going the Playstation route after our Super Nintendo. (The Super Nintendo still works fine for Mario an’ all, though.) I don’t meet a lot of Mario fans these days!" | |

| 18 Feb 2009 | Colton Hamshire | Loading...Hey, I have been a member of elfwood for only a few days and have recently published my first two short stories on the site. They are titled Trail of Hope and Barroom Brawl, both are tagged on the wyvern’s library main page. If you can please check them out and tell me what you think I would really appreciate it. Thank you very much and welcome to Elfwood Jessica Barnes replies: "Welcome yourself! You’ve got some fun stories--I really like the idea of writing a number of shorter pieces, and then continuing with the one you like best. And despite the fact that most of them are rather short, the characters have distinct personalities. I think I like "Lost in a Bottle" best, just for the interactions between the characters. Anyway, sorry about the wait in getting back to you; classes have been a bit crazy. Thanks for dropping by, and hope you’re enjoying Elfwood thus far!" | |

Wah! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. My comment-email alert failed sometime in March, apparently, and I only just now saw that you’d commented. But thank you!"
| 13 May 2009 | MT Starkey | Loading...Cool pics. Jessica Barnes replies: "Thank you. I like your smiley--particularly since it mimics the monster-types from your gallery. Very nice." | |
| 24 Jul 2009 | MT Starkey | Loading...Cheers. And I’m very jealous of the Tonberry. Whatever that is. Jessica Barnes replies: "Heh, as well you should be. It’s a monster from Final Fantasy VII--it looks like a nice little monk-monster, with a cowl and a lantern, until it waddles into range. Then it uses a butcher knife to one-shot you... ’Tis a fun little monster." | |
| 1 Aug 2009 | Agez | Loading...I love 64 and Yoshi’s Island.
Jessica Barnes replies: "And you’re not alone, evidently. Mario ftw!"
