SciFi and Fantasy Art Mermaid on a Stick by Cory Dobbin


	The first good picture I did after my 3 month block. It is - most obviously - a mermaid. She's being 'fished' by the guy in the boat. Yes, I know the harpoon could use a few spines or claws so that she doesn't just pull it out of her hip, but.. ::shrug:: oh well. <p> Standard hb pencil, graphite 9b pencil, a whole lot of time.

2 Dec 2001	The one known as D	Loading... eee, the fisherman from the frozen fish commercials seeks revenge at all the beautiful sea creatures that got the good parts, while he's stuck in a boat in alaska having pictures taken of him for a yellow box of yucky fish sticks. erm..that aside, I really like this picture. the details are really....detailed? yeah, and I especally like the mermaid, her expression looks almost orgasmic to me. masochisim isin't a trait usually associated to mermaids, so it's fun to see! ah well, I'll stop taking up your time now -D

I love that picture!! the expression is so perfect... hmm its exactly what i was going for in that pic i tried to draw the day my ex betrayed me... id like to see that harpoon through his side! muahaha! but seriously, your drawings are so awesome, i love the detail! and your armor etc is so awesome.. how did you learn to do that? hard as i try i can never quite achieve that 'macho' look like on the dwarf... great work, keep it up!
