  | Trite title I know. I apologize, but it's not in it's final incarnation anyway. Yet another picture I'm doing for my grandmother's christmas present. I couldn't sleep two nights ago, and sat awake thinking of how I could do an outfit/hairstyle/drawing that would require a bit more detail than I'm used to spending time doing. I think this is the first drawing I've gone through sketching, erasing, picking lines and finally inking on. I'm usually too impatient to do it right. Oh yeah.. about her. She's an elven bar dancer, unhappy with her situation in life, but forced into it by circumstance. The only solace she finds is in the exhilaration (however that's spelled) the dance itself gives to her. Her eyes are closed so she can ignore her surroundings, and live in the moment of peace her dancing gives her. Her name is Toccata, and if you can't tell, I really like her. *giggle* Unfortunately she lost some of her detail when I inked it and the ink was thicker than the pencil. Shakey hands didn't help. I just got some new prismacolor markers.. so I'm gonna try those on her, and color her in the GIMP too when I get home. *twitches w/ excitement* |
