Maureen 'Wolffen' Wolff replies: "It seems we do indeed have a few things in common, I wouldn't mind having a few other pictures of him. Some day I want to own a few of the Gypsy Vanner horses to play the parts of characters in my Novel (The Pearl of Heart, First Alliance)should anyone ever think my story is worthy of a movie. Not to mention I would love to ride a horse like them! I would be looking for a tall one though, at least 16.5 or 17 hh! Which means that my "Euquo" would probably be more shire or clydesdale than anything, but hopefully I can find him someday! Thanks you have been so kind!"
| 14 Nov 2003 | Lady wolf | Loading...You look stunning not to sound lez or anything and your euquo Maureen 'Wolffen' Wolff replies: "I wouldn't have thought you were going "lez" the character from my book is actually named Akeena, but I based her a lot on me, and everyone kept telling me that the girl in the pic looked like me, so I didn't have a problem with it. Thank you for your comment!" | |
| 23 Nov 2003 | Blitz | Loading...Brilliant piece of work!! I love the horse and the anatomy of the face is awesome! Looks a lot like my horse!! Maureen 'Wolffen' Wolff replies: "that was the effect that I was going for. This is currently one of my favorite pieces and I am glad you like it. Maybe in a few months it will grace the cover of my soon to be released Novel--I have some excerpts on my Wyvern's page, if you would like to go take a look at it. Thank you for your comment!" | |
| 22 Dec 2003 | Cormac Mc Quinn | Loading...very impressive - stylised, yet not overly so - I like the clean, crisp pencil work - its a well drawn, beautiful picture - nice one! Maureen 'Wolffen' Wolff replies: " Thank you, this was one of my first pieces I did after getting my new Verithin Prisma Colors. They are wonderful to work with on a satin finish drawing paper and the effects you can create with surprisingly little effort are amazing. The Unicorn close up, and the Spanish Uni are done with the same pencils, I have since done a lot more drawings with them. Thank you for your comment!" | |
| 27 Mar 2004 | Jessica L. Stachyra | Loading...Such beautiful shading on the horse, I love the emotion!! Simply beautiful!! Maureen 'Wolffen' Wolff replies: "Thank you so much for your comment! This is one of my favorites...which would explain why I chose it to be the cover art for my novel...LOL. I can't wait. I am now working on a series of ten Unicorns inspired by my ideas about Unicorns. I am soo excited....Maybe some day my art will be in books and sold as caladars like some of my favorite artists...who knows??? Anyway, thanks a lot for your comments!" | |
| 3 Apr 2004 | Freek | Loading...This is a really good pic.. But.. Wuts that in back ground? With the claws?? Maureen 'Wolffen' Wolff replies: "That "thing" in the background is a version of Rowler that I particularly did not care for. He is almost exactly the same at my "Rowler, at a glance" Rowler, but its face was all distorted and ugly (to me at least) and the version I have shown in this site is the one I drew first, and I liked it a whole lot more. Therefore, I did not want to show the ugly one in the shot with "Euquo and I" (actually Akeena from my book, but she turned out looking a lot like me...LOL)I felt it ruined the drawing. When it is put on the cover of my book the feet have been edited out so others don't have the same question...thank you foryour comment!" | |
| 8 Jul 2004 | Stephanie 'Pegacorna' Small | Loading...Wow, what a beautiful piece. Great contrast on the head and I like the movement of the mane. The anatomy of the horse's head is very well done! I am jealous! I love unicorns and I have seen a lot of them, I must say this is among my favorites. Maureen 'Wolffen' Wolff replies: "Thank you so very much! I love unicorns as well, but I have always liked artists that can draw them with a personal and uniques style, so I have embodied in my own art everything that had always wanted to see in other's art. I hope I have accomplished this satisfactorily to everyone elses ideals, and if I have not, at least I tried and failed rather than never having tried at all to be able to fail! Thank you for your very nice comment!PS This is the cover art for my published book, The Pearl of Heart, First Alliance, which has just gone on sale in e-book form and will soon be available one bookstore shelves and online book retailers. Take a peek at my Wyvern's site and read some of the excerpts and if you like what you have read visit the site listed below where you can purchase, or at least bookmark the site until you can purchase the actual paperback form.http://www.authorhouse.com/BookStore/ItemDetail.aspx?q3=S8N8Sn8PmkE%253d" | |

Maureen 'Wolffen' Wolff replies: "Thank you so very much! I hope that you will see this particular drawing everywhere soon--as my book cover art! I can hope it will happen, I have crossed my fingers... "
