Locked away in the shrieking shack, Remus Lupin's darker half comes alive. Without Human flesh to mar or attack he instead takes his aggression out on his own body. He must have looked strange grappling with his own appendages, and that ever elusive twitching tail. Being barred up during the moon cycle is definately nothing to look forward to. Good thing he had such caring and understanding friends....

Wow this is an awesome picture of Lupin it portrays the emotion really well, its also realistic it most have took you forever.

1 Maureen 'Wolffen' Wolff replies: "It actually only took me about 2 hours. It was a fun one to do. I originally wanted to have him biting his foot, but couldn't make the composition work as well as him biting his tail. Thank you for your comments!"

Again, freaking excellent. I especially like the claws on him-- it sounds weird, but they capture his pain, the way you tinted them red. And I can totally comprehend being barred up by yourself, going crazy. Were it not for Sirius and James...

13 Maureen 'Wolffen' Wolff replies: "Thank you very much for your comment! I am glad you can see and feel his pain and appreciate the way I have constructed this piece. I did have fun with it (as it is some what of a self portrait) and I am glad that it has had some friendly comments to it. It is sad to be barred in with one's self, and the agony of both lonliness and knowing you are doomed to a life without comraderie is depressing in and of itself, Lupin is lucky to have had such great and true friends as Sirius and James...Thank you so much for your comment!"

Poor Remus! He looks so pained. You've really captured the one thing we all never wanted to picture for ourselves. Points for origionality and for detail. You can really believe the reality. It's almost as if the artist was there... 12
