She's beautiful - how did you make it?

:-) Linda Griego replies: "Thank you so much! I made it from a lump of puppen fimo polymer clay. I created a wire skeleton and built the doll on to the skeleton. How I do it exactly, I don't know. Creatures just emerge from the clay. It really is kind of magical to see it and help it happen."

That is so beautiful!, but I was wondering is when you make the sculpture over the wire frame is it OK to bake in the oven afterwards?.

:-) Linda Griego replies: "Yeah, there's no problem with baking over the armature. The bake temp for the clay is only 265 and that doesn't phase the wire at all. "

:-) Linda Griego replies: "This sculpture was a commission. The person who commissioned her is a painter. I asked her what she wanted and she used words like strong, soft, flow, natural,...I took her words and looked at her picture and her art and the inspiration for this piece was so clear."
