And i cannot add something new to this comment list, my thoguhts are the same as all the aboves : this looks marvelous. Chris M. Rubenstahl replies: "Thank you! I like to think it's worth it. I hope to have other versions of the character up shortly." | |
| 2 Jul 2003 | Luke McKay | Loading...Whoa, that's big. I like how the line work extends right to the ends of the page and completely fills up the page, makes it powerful. Chris M. Rubenstahl replies: "Thanks! I think I need to start drawing on larger surfaces, though. I have a big problem with not having enough space to complete my drawings; a larger piece of paper may reduce that tendency. Then again, maybe not, but I'm gonna try..." | |
| 11 Jul 2003 | Teneng | Loading...It's Rosey O'Donnell! ;D I have the craziest ideas. Chris M. Rubenstahl replies: "She does look a little 'bulky', but Rosie O'Donnell?!? **looks** Hrm. It does look KIND of like her... **g**" | |
| 5 Oct 2003 | Ookami-Samurai | Loading...Magnificent, although Gabriel is a female not Uriel, although i don't think it would bother him that much. I'll ask him. Chris M. Rubenstahl replies: "Hrm. I always thought that, in mythology, they were both male. My bad." | |
| 23 Dec 2003 | Uriel | Loading...Hey whats with uriel angel, can anyone tell me more about this cause my name is uriel and im a guy so i just wanna know where did you guys get this angel from or anything.Thnx Chris M. Rubenstahl replies: "Uriel was one of the archangels, and was called male and female, at various times. Some literature regards him as the patron of literature and music, while I seem to remember Uriel as the angel who warned Noah that the deluge was about to occur. Uriel (in Hebrew, Auriel) means "Fire of God". Try this site for more: http://www.sarahsarchangels.com/archangels/uriel.html
Hope this helped." | |
| 10 May 2004 | Brian Keith Cooke | Loading...Very nice. I love the armor on this one. I haven't gotten to Uriel in my series of archangels yet. The wings are great as well. Chris M. Rubenstahl replies: "Thanks, man. I hadn't actually set out to draw all the archangels, but I find I'm liking the idea more and more." | |
| 14 Aug 2004 | Christopher Benson Manica | Loading...Pleased? I daresay you should be! She looks extremely ready to open up a can of heavenly wrath on someone. What I like, though, is that she seems equally capable of great compassion; her physique is both Amazon-like and matronly. Nice job. Chris M. Rubenstahl replies: "Well, I was just getting tired of people emphasizing the whole lovey-dovey, new-agey aspects of angels. They seemed to forget that angels were also destroyers and assassins, and I just wanted to portray the whole concept, from protector to killer. Thanks for you comments!" | |
| 15 Sep 2004 | ^_^° | Loading...^Great picture! Other than the AngelSanctuary- version of Uriel, this is the best I've seen so far. And it's definately the most majestic one...the way you used the space perfectly is fantastic!!! Chris M. Rubenstahl replies: "Thank you! " | |
| 20 Dec 2004 | Uriel | Loading...Hello, first of all it is very good. To draw such an art must be very hard. BUT!! Could u post the originally title of the book?
