I also notices you are world of darkness player (VtM player for 2? years now?) Well, I would like to see some of you work in WW books...On that, keep up the good work, and know that you have at least one fan out there in the world. Take care...and Like I said, keep up the art....It's beautiful. Chris M. Rubenstahl replies: "Thanks! I am, indeed, a World of Darkness player. I'm a more general roleplayer, though, with Shadowrun, D&D, GURPS, Champions, Dark Conspiracy, Star Wars, and numerous others. I do like the simplicity of the Storyteller system, though. As for getting into WW books... I used to lower my head and cry at even the thought of my crap making into one of their books. Lately, though, there seems to have been a lot of... I hate to say 'inadequate' art in their stuff, so maybe I have a shot."

Why doesn't it surprise me to read one of your previous replies up there that you're a Dark Conspiracy player? Oh, wait, I know why. Because, like myself, you are a freakbat. And you draw dang fine Euthies. Chris M. Rubenstahl replies: "Oops. I shoulda sent you this one first, before I posted it. And yes, I'm a Dark Conspiracy player and a freakbat (nice word, BTW)..."
| 13 Jul 2003 | Nerdvana | Loading...Excellent picture. I saw the thumbnail first and thought the name was a take on the famous cover of Heinlein's Friday which your picture is very reminiscent of in style. Was that on purpose or a fun happenstance? Chris M. Rubenstahl replies: "To be perfectly honest, I didn't even think about it until your comment. When I read it, I pulled my copy of Friday off of my bookshelf, and I'll be damned if it wasn't reminiscent. It's quite possible that I was subconsciously thinking of that cover (by Michael Whelan, if I remember correctly) when I was drawing it. So, to answer your question, it's happenstance. I think it's a pretty cool happenstance, though. Thanks for your comment!" | |

Anywayz Greeat picture IF IT WAS NOT WEDNESDAY!!! Chris M. Rubenstahl replies: "Um... thank you? This isn't the Wednesday from The Addams Family; this character was simply given the nickname because she happened to look somewhat like Christina Ricci. And yes, it is a different look (sort of)."

Rubenstahl replies: "The only problem I still have with this pic is that her head seems a bit too small and off-kilter. Thanks for checking it out, though..."
