"Walking at night, her footsteps slow
Unlighted streets, her breath calm
watching darkness, her hearts desire"

She was walking down the streets of the small town.
Alone with her thoughts through the unlitted place.
Her heart throbbed, and she looked around, as if she
hoped someone to hide in the dark.

He watched her, this mortal woman.
She wasn´t beautiful neither ugly, but her mind was what
drew him near.
He had sensed her long time ago, as a child playing and laughing
though almost always alone with exeption of her siblings.
He stayed close and drew power from the joy and the energy
that radiated from her, sating his hunger yet yerning for more.

He remembers her slow transformation into puberty, he still
shakes at the thought. He had found a safe haven in her bedroom
floating above her when she slept. Looking down on the child,
occasionally reaching out and adjusting some hair that had
fallen over her face. He saw her grow, he noticed how her
shape started to turn into something that promised a chubby hourglass
figure in 5 years. And the energy around her changed.
It now contained lust and desire, the things his kind normally fed
on.

As the years pass by he watches her grow into the full body
he´d seen before him. He feeds from the energies of her that
has grown strong, strong. He´s been fighting his desire, his almost
uncontrollable lust for her for 4 years.
He doesn´t sleep in her chamber anymore, haven´t since the incident
when she was 15.

By then she had become a lovely creature and he felt himself so drawn
to her.
He laid above her, hearing her moans, almost being knocked over
at the strengthof her feelings. He just had to move closer to see
every detail. He wished he could read her mind to see who she
was thinking of in her sleep.
The thought of her thinking of a mortal man when making love to
herself unconciously made his blood boil.
He moved in on her and whispered with anger and lust in his voice
"You are mine and mine alone!"
He saw as in daze how her lips formed the words "And you are mine"
The burning inside of him grew, his breath became ragged and he
felt how his selfcontrol melted away.
He wanted her with a force he´d never felt before and he was about
give in when he heard the door open and one of her parents checked
on her. He swiftly hid in the attic of the house.
Out of fear of passing the line he never stepped into her bedroom
again.

These 4 years gone by had given him time enough to see her grow
into a confident young woman, studying at university and as
optimistic and happy about life as when a child.
It had also given him time to, in pain, watch her dating men.
He hated it with every fibre in his body but what could he do ?
She didn´t know he existed and she had needs as every other person.
With satisfaction he noticed that the few relationships she had
never seemed to last long.

And now he sat here watching his mortal woman walking down
the street, seemingly oblivious of his existance.

She was thinking about her life, her dreams.
How every guy she met always left something missing in her.
It was her own fault she thought, they couldn´t match her dream,
her wonderfull fantasy, the demon.
She´d had this dream since she was little about a demon that was
always close and whom she could trust.
Then when she had become a woman her feelings had turned into
a deeper.. love?
What was men when comparing to the dream of her life.

Maybe it was fate, maybe it was coincidence that let her frustration
out in that moment as she spoke out to nothingness
"Why doesn´t he exist!"
"Why have you stuck this demon in my head when men is all I can find?"

She angrily ran towards home.

The demon sat stunned for a while, feelings raging in his chest.
"It couldn´t be" he said to himself.
"But it is so!" another part of himself shouted.
A little hope grew in him that he was the demon she longed for.
Swiftly he flew to her flat and walked into her bedroom.

This time he would make everything right.
This time he´d make her his forever.

~Appluades~ Very nicely done. I love the style in which you wrote this, sort of a rambling tale.
