Well, it's not exactly canon (the sky doesn't match the one described in Order of the Pheonix), but I rather liked the sky full of stars. It's a different sort of mood, too. But I think it's pretty, and thus I'm keeping it this way. I'm quite fond of the thestrals; they are terrific fun to draw (thanks, Jo!). Pencil drawing, scanned and colored in Photoshop. From Harry Potter.

Sooo lovely. The expression on Harry's face almost makes it look like he's asleep. Add the starry night and you have a very peaceful creation, in my mind anyway. Very nice.

*jaw drops to floor* of my GOD!!! I can't believe that something this beautifully amzaing actually exists. I absolutly love the way the wings are, they look so real. And the way Harry clings to the thestral, it makes him look so desperate. This picture is filled with so much emotion, it's fabulous!
I know, artists tend to point out the smallest things wrong in their own work, but know that you have none to point out. Not even the sky being different than in the book, though it's no mistake, you shouldn't even worry abotu what people would say because if they had half a brain they would know it only makes this picture that much better.
*shock stage ends--turns to envy stage* *sticks out tongue* I would tell you you're just bragging about your good work, I like do all my friends when they do somethign really good, but if I could make something like that I know I would deffinitly brag!
Okay, I guess I'll go envy you in my own corner quietly now! Great work, keep it up!

I'm tickled you're drawing again, and as super kickin awesomely as ever, this so reminds me of flyons (flyions?)

(soruby's flooded with content too, what with dreaming & scribbling).

I love how you added shadows to the eyeballs. Makes them more 'real'. 2

Wow. That is the best thestral i have ever seen. I love the way you managed tohave the skeleton clearly visible but not in an ugly kind of way. The wings are just about perfect! Keep up the good work!
