Mr. Russell,

Just recently obtained a Mardi Gras Poster that I believed you signed back in 1982 of a beautiful woman wearing a pearl and feathers head dress... which is awesome!!! Print was done in your famous pencil & gray drawing. One of the best if not the best Mardi Gras New Orleans poster I've seen! Can you tell me when this was done and might I know where I could obtain another such print? Thanks in advance - Kenny DuFrene

Greetings, Mr. Russell:

I'm about to auction one of your Mardi Gras prints on eBay.
It's framed under glass, and is the one described in a June 2 note to you: lovely woman with beads and feathers headdress. Size is 23x17.5", dated '91.

Any suggestions on the eBay reserve? Thanks.

I was the model for the 1990 and 1991 (which is the 90 in color) for James Russell's Mardi Gras Poster. He called her Jasmine. Jim died in the late 90's mayb 97 or 98. I cant remember,, I do remember where I was when I got the call though. I have the original for Jasmine if anyone is interested. Just email me. For the right price I will let her go even though I have had her since 1990.

I love his Mardi Gras girls - I have five of them and want more. Who is putting up the posts, supposedly from him, in the later years 2002, etc ?
