Ruth is a Linguistics major with side interests in fantasy writing, computer programming, and conlanging.

I am a language and linguistics nerd, so much of what I write starts out as worldbuilding of a sort before turning into an actual story. I tend to find cultural and sociological elements more interesting than the high fantasy ones (my special interest is fantasy of manners), though I will read (and probably write) both. I'm not terribly prolific, but I don't (usually) abandon things I start, either. One of my major goals with writing is to intergrate the worldbuilding into the stories so that it becomes self-evident without referring to glossaries, but I do tend to get carried away with explanations, so you'll have to stop me if I deviate from the plot too much! I am mostly just here lookin for input from people who like fantasy as much as I do.
