Ruth E. Steinback replies: "Well technically I photoshopped under the sketch lines by using layers and setting the sketch layer to 'multiply'. It actually goes quite quickly that way if you've got a solid sketch to work from that isn't too faint or wispy. I have so much fun playing around with that cutoff effect too!
