| 1 Aug 2005 | Brie TheCheeseGirl O´Reilly | This is a nice start for a gallery, you seem to have proportion down and a decent sense of foreshortening. There are a few things I recently learned in my figure drawing class that might help you. Firstly, you almost never see someone straight on, their face is almost always going to be at a different angle, so be brave and try something different, lol. Also, if the right shoulder is higher than the left shoulder, then the right hip will be lower than the left hip. Lastly, a person's feet are roughly the same length as their head. It seems odd that I never noticed any of that before, but trust me, it'll help your drawings. Continue drawing chica. *miss sassypants* Sara Ann DeVoe replies: "Thanx for the tips! ^-^ I know all my people face front....oh well. I just cant do profiles." | |

| 19 Oct 2005 | Ajder Andrei | a very nice gallery you have here, a preatty nice start in to art, you keep on practicing and you will improove at a very high rate... you complain that your characters all are captured from the front... that's not a bad thing since a profile shot is viewed by some to be easyer then a frontal one ( I know personally, I started out with profiles, and I still find it difficoult to this day to do angled shots... and I simply cannot do a character viewed directly from the front... But I guess each people has his own style... ANyways, if you would like some CC on your works, feal free to ask and I will do my best to tell you what you could work on and how to do it... Oh, maybe you could stop by my gallery and live your impretion as well??? ( CC would be apreciated ) Sara Ann DeVoe replies: "Thanks i'm glad you like my style! ^^ It's cool that you can do profiles i can't do those for my life. Thanks for stopping by!" | |
