Tiger's Eye
The moon glows like the Tiger's Eye,
it stares at you, waiting,
waiting for you to make the first move.
It glares with its gold,
it glares with its black,
it haunts you like you never expect.
Tonight the Tiger shall attack.

I thought Tiger's eyes were yellowish? Anyway, this poems, with the moon & everything reminds me a lot of werewolves coming out at night...freaky!Yellowish, gold...pretty close. I never thought of the werewolf idea, interesting.

This definitely makes you feel like the prey. You are being followed but are still expected to make the first move. Yet the poem gives the feeling that whatever that move is, you will still be attacked.

I like it.

:-) Stacy A. Goll replies: "The image is that of suspense, waiting to see what happens."
