This lovely drawing was done April 2009 and had the following description:

"Spring time is upon us and I find that my garden has an unusual new guest. The timid and elegant Yellow Swallow-Tailed Butterdragon, is a rare sight indeed. It feeds on insects and the nectar of flowers and it is a magnificent sight to watch the little hunter swish through the flowerbeds.
Its call is a high pitched : 'Thrrrri! Thrrrri! Riiiiir, riiiiir, riiiiir! ' easily heard above the song of local birds.

The Yellow Swallow-Tailed Butterdragon is a wanderer and only found in Denmark in april and may. Seeing as it prefers wet, damp surroundings, sighting this magnificent creature is all the more exciting. "

I still love it immensely, but when I found that I had nearly copied another artists dragon-butterflies I stopped making more, worried that they might be seen as unoriginal ripoffs.
