Da stihó! I'm an American college student. I'm currently living in a Writer's House with forty other young writers, so of course I'm writing less than ever. Still, I toss something off now and again.

I read (and have read) a great deal of spec fic, from Cordwainer Smith to Holly Lisle, and I love putting obscure references in my stories. I write nifty poems, sword-and-sorcery, and hard science fiction, mostly. I try to be very realistic in my writing, but people mostly think, instead, that my stories are humorous. Well, so's the universe!

I'm still under the delusion that someday soon people will actually pay me for my writing, so to avoid losing my FNASR, I won't be posting anything from my major projects; here will go poetry and short writing exercises that deserve to be seen.

I badly need criticism, particularly the harsh kind, so do leave me some. I'll do my best to respond. The pieces are all quick reads.

Right, so I've been awful with the feedback bit. I think I've got back to most of you now though. Lately I've been writing mostly fanfic, found on my webpage and at Fictionalley.com under the name Melannen. However there should be a new narrative poem up here soon, gods and mods willing.

*does first comment dance* Wow, these first comment dances are tiring! Lol.

Sorry about the lack of criticism but I liked all your stories/poems. They're all so different. You are good at writing in a wide range of styles. Keep it up. I'm certainly visiting here often in the future.

There should be more comment here! *stamps foot*

I really enjoyed all your poems. They were very skillfully done, and engaging at the same time. Good luck on getting published!

howdy, and welcome to your first comment from Vic Alfieri, I am a poet, a poetry writer, a writer of poems if you will. I'm so jealous now though, i think more people deserve mods choice awards for poetry, which is not to that yours suck or anything, they're brilliant.

I loved The Song of Princess Profa and The Mink and the Hairy Man. They were awesome, though in some parts (which i will tell you about in an e-mail if you wish) the flow of The Song of Princess Profa is a bit long.....if ya know what i mean. We all have these issues though, and i'm not one to not have this problem with flow.

I actually came here as a recommendation from another EW WL member and am glad i did.
