Most animal wings go from the shoulder to about the rump to provide more forward lift. Otherwise I love your work, your attention to shading is great and your picture has allot of expression. Samantha CrystalBlueDragon James replies: "Truth be known we all have our own thought of how and what a dragon looks like. I did try the bigger wing idea in the original sketching... it covered up to much so cut it down a bit. I am glad that the shading came out the way it did. It took a long time to get them to look that way." | |
| 25 Jul 2004 | Antares | Loading...sweet picture, but do you mind if I nag you a bit on the perspective? Drawing from this perspective is indeed challenging. but the dragon looks like (s)he is looking over it's shoulder at the wyvern-thing, but the wyvern thing is BEHIND it. It's sorta like one of those optical-illusion things. but yeah, nagging aside, this pic rules. Samantha CrystalBlueDragon James replies: "I know the perspective is very strang on it. I dont mind abit of nagging either... sometimes it is a usefull tool later. The feathered dragon is more to the side and front grabbing the tail... The head on the white dragon just looked better over the shoulder... Thanks though!" | |
