Tag As FavoriteComment		My fasination with dragons and dinosaurs where mixed on this picture. I had been reading a series by Ray Bradbury called Dinosaur Planet. My imagination took some of the details that he wrote and changed them around to make this Warrior. Done in .05 lead mechanical pencil. UPDATE 7/27/02; I now have this one in color. I will try to scan it soon so that it can be seen.

Good concept, but i think what is lacking here is a great background. It would bring this to life literaly. But maybe that´s me... i love backgrounds and landscapes....1

Noooooooo!!!!! Not possible! That is so not possible! ARG! I DREW A RAPTOR WITH ARMOR LIKE THAT! THe pic is only half finished, but it's got that armor! I'll upload it when Elfwood allows uploads again. As for some constructive criticism... He's too upright. Raptors were nearly vertical to the ground (I haven't read Dinosaur Planet...). Also, the legs look a bit strange. maybe you could lengthen them a little and make them slightly straighter... Otherwise, great shading and nice job on the head! You even added a feathered crest!=)

:-) Samantha CrystalBlueDragon James replies: "actually I am a big dinosaur fan. I studied dinosaurs for quite some time... took this one and made it like it was the desendent of there kind but... the comet never hit in a sense. that is why he stands more upright."
