Elizabeth Lortie replies: "Dawww haha well at least what you draw looks like something. All too many people Ive seen cant seem to get their dots to line up or something." | |

| 25 Dec 2005 | Mu_mu poopoo | Loading...Whao..The details, i like the way you used the dotts as an effcton the picture! It really looks as if the wind sucks her flesh out. Elizabeth Lortie replies: "Stippling, aye. keeps me busy for long long periods of time haha. And yes, some of the blowing away are fingernails or bits of flesh getting blown away." | |

| 14 Feb 2006 | Asarian | Loading...You know, artistically, this may really be one of your finest works. It's also, well, quite a mature theme. You get extra points for that. I really love the way that girl just kinda disintegrates, and little bits are blown off. That provides a much more dramatic sense of being overwhelmed than just, say, a body being tossed aside in a blast or something. Very well done! Elizabeth Lortie replies: "Thats the thing, there is no blast. She simply didnt want to be there anymore...(shes the ship!) Im mature! Yay! ...I think... Glad you like! =D" | |
| 20 Feb 2006 | ItsaWash | Loading...Nice lift to her booted feet, as if wind is gonna take her whole. Good light and shadow, pieces of her looking as if becoming earth and leaves. Elizabeth Lortie replies: "Dejavu anyone? lol. Cloth, skin, leather, all dissolves into...nothing... Im proud of the way the shading came out." | |
| 7 Jul 2006 | Puppet princess | Loading...I sometimes feel like i want to get blown away. But most times i want to sink into the ground. Good picture. I like the way she repesents the i want to be blown away feeling. Elizabeth Lortie replies: "I know the feeling. As much as I wish I didnt lol. But I already have Melting Pot to represent that melting feeling. But maybe I will do a pic of someone wanting the ground to swallow them up." | |
| 10 Jul 2006 | Alice Marien Uther Danzig | Loading...Are you perchance an Alice Cooper fan? There is a song on his 2000 release, Brutal Planet, called "Blow Me A Kiss" in which each chorus finishes "...then blow me away." This picture reminds me so much of that. EXTREMELY good use of stipling - above what i'm capable of in that style; to do it so well AND capture the darker essence so thoroughly - well done!! Elizabeth Lortie replies: "Sorry, cant say Ive heard that song, nor ever listened to the artist. Actually I was listening to the Halo 2 Battle Theme while I was trying to think of a name for this one. It too repeats "...blow me away". So you were right in thinking of a musical inspiration. I dont know that Im an expert stippler by any means, I just have too much time on my hands =) Thanks for commenting!" | |
| 2 Sep 2006 | Katie* | Loading...Yes, I really like this picture, too. I like how it has a Deeper Artistic Meaning. Plus, it's pretty! Elizabeth Lortie replies: "Wasnt planning on getting rid of this one, but now I guess I cant ^_^ Who hasnt had a time they wanted to just dissappear into the air?" | |
