  | This drawing was inspired by Jessica Douglas's character, Daniel, who in the world of Tenebra, is a fallen angel and lord over the icy regions of Hell. He's a wonderfully complex character, slightly homicidal, and partner of okashichan's Alastor. The little bit of writing Jess put with her first concept sketch really brought the character to life for me, and I felt like a challenge. Drawing snow on it's own is hard enough, but sculpting it into a face and a person is really hard. Too hard for me. I think he looks more icy here, and his wings are probably too fluffy, but I rather liked them. The text as Jess wrote it is as follows: Mantus looked up as the little demon led his employer in. He gave a short bow, a show of respect to the new lord of hell, then he led Alastor into a seperate chamber. 'As you know, Lord Alastor, hell is not just a place of heat, but of ice as well. We were in the process of conquring the cold netherlands of hell, when we made a little capture. Behold, Alastor... Lord Daniel.' He pushed the door open, and stepped back to show a simple room, furnished with a bed, and that's about it. On that dark furniture lay what looked like a drift of snow... at least at first glance. Then you looked closer and saw snow white wings, the hints of blues and purples within the shadows adding to the illusion of snow. Long, pale, fine white hair fanned out across the bed, the tips faded from white, into blue, into a darker purple color at the ends. Flesh white and flawless was clear to see where his arms were bared as the long, white sleeve of his robe had fallen aside. No clue what color his eyes were, but the lashes were the same white as his hair. He was obviously unconcious, Mantus' men had knocked the little creature out. 'He took out five of our men before they could place him, and another four before they captured him. Quick little thing.' I do like feisty angels.
