Here is Kana in all his realistic glory. This was drawn with no outside reference, just a vague memory of how asian and hawaiian people look. He seems to have come out somewhere in the middle of those, with maybe a small touch af native american indian in him too? Whatever the case, I'm happy with how this turned out, he looks pretty much as I imagine Kana to look.

(on a personal note: originally, I thought he was from Chinese or Japanese origin. Glad that has been settled now! ) I’ve been trying my hand at realism for quite some time now, but I never really managed to pull it off correctly, believing Amo was my most successful try thus far… -_-; I guess that’s what’s bound to happen when you start out as a manga/anime influenced artist… sigh
