Livid wildness of eye
Fire consuming of mind
You fly ever further away

Owner of souls
Tamer of hearts
Burning light keeping darkness at bay

Soar ever higher
I yearn for you still
The wonder not mine should I see

Conscious in closeness
Soothing pain's ire
Heart's beat fading, now yield to me

A mixture of Prisma Colours and Karisma pencils on black cardstock. 2004. Poetry my own.

Hey there...just reading the above comments about the anatomy, now im no expert but living in horse country for more than a few years has taught me all i know and your unicorn/pegasus seems a pretty good example of top quality anatomy drawing to me. The only thing is that he looks like he is stuck or paralysed if that makes any sense to you...

heya don't take this the wrong way. I haven't seen all your art cuz I keep stopping and staring at one for hours. ahem anyways I read some of the comments and a few said the body of the horse is off. I agree only because i've had this problem before. Towards the back end of the horse its like the stomach ends to soon. It needs to fill out a bit more and slide. If that makes sense at all. Goodness i'm no good at this. Anyways now that i've confused you even more I'll leave.
other than that I adore this piece of art it is beautiful!!
When I finaly get an elfwood spot someday i'll come back and you can make comments about my work as well lol. and complain how much I confused you with this picture.

:-) Sam 'Zephyri' Hogg replies: "Right, I'm going to put this issue of anatomy to rest... there ARE things wrong with the horse, but not the belly... it is thin, but here's the reference I used: Horse reference pic
if there is anything wrong, it's more in the size of the head and neck and barrel of the body, which i believe no one has picked up on. Thanks for everyone's comments on this, but I'm aware of the errors, can we call it quits now? Pleeease?

Oh, and Los, that's no refelction on your comment, that was actually nicely put and I appreciate it. Thanks!"

I usually don't like unicorns with windy horns but the pic changed my mind the color and movement makes me shiver. love the way the person has their hand raised.

Beautiful peice of art. And a wonderful concept. I love the fact the girl is trying to tame the horse. I love the bursts of colors and it being on black cardstock makes it all that more amazing. Beautiful pic 2
