| 17 Mar 2010 | Daniela Black Phoenix Irimiash | Loading...Hm hm hm... Well if you give me the permision to critic a bit: her legs are a bit to long, think that the superior part from the hip to the knee is as long as the inferior part from the knee to the ankle, and her breasts are a bit odd. Always remember that the superior and inferior part of the limbs are equal in lenght. But in rest, the backround, faces and expresions are just awsome! (hope you won’t get angry on me for the critic) Sam Adams replies: "lol!!! Not angry at all...i’m usually pants at drawing people so any advice is more than welcome! I just guess at how people look, their body shapes don’t come natuarally to me." | |
| 17 Mar 2010 | Natalie Adams | Loading...beautifully done sammiyad. much more thought went into this one than i did mine, and for that i love it totally! the faces came out really well didn’t they, and the posing is really great too well done you *poke*
granted the leg on the girl is a little long but come on it’s a minor thing compared to the rest which is brilliant! her breasts aren’t odd, they are small. and i know how you work sammi, so i know why they are like that daniela doesn’t. Sam Adams replies: "awwww thanks Nat! It’s such a relief that for once people came out more-or-less as I hoped for once! HUGS!!!! Stll love yours though !" | |
| 20 Mar 2010 | Leah | Loading...Oh wow Sammi this is just stunning...... nothing else to say really, you’ve actually rendered me speechless lol xx hope you’re ok xx Sam Adams replies: "wow now that would be a first *evil grin* !!!! lol THANKS!!! I’mm all good thanks xx" | |
| 1 Apr 2010 | Robert worth nuckels | Loading... Sam, I’ve been looking at this one for the last couple days or so.....it is a very clever & thoughtful...the design is truly ingenious ! thank you very much for this, as well as the glowing reports on my works....in answer to your question obout how i come about my themes & designs......a lot of it comes from years & years of studying anthroposophic writings , both old (early 20th century) & recent.....i spent a good 10 years or so studying nature lants, animals, crystals, plant seeds, clouds & atmospheric phemomen before returning to art (about 3 years ago) i was not able to really use color, however, until the time i got Cancer back in Michaelmas of ’09...then everyothing changed! during all the treatments, I stared collecting fantasy art books through Barnes & Nobles used & out of print online....Frazetta,John Howe, boris vallejo, todd lockwood, etc to augment my more classical art training in the 60’s. I use color with great caution...for me it’s like transmitting FIRE....i can only do it slowly, using gradual washes, because i experience color so intensly....my main priority is DESIGN...usually 3 days of thumbnails before something clicks in resonance with my basic starting theme....i call the sketch period the MOON or PRE-NATAL stage....everything transforms, however, when color begins to incarnate on the blank panel. Sam Adams replies: "WOW! Firstly thanks so much for the comment! It’s great to have an in depth explanation of how you work, you put so much into it! You sound like a very interesting and amazing person! Just like your art !" | |

| 2 May 2010 | Natasha icekatash Curry | Loading...wow the new version is amazig, the red really adds some effect. the little story sends shivers to my bones and im anxious as to which side shes gunna chose. idid u right it urself? Sam Adams replies: "Hmm yeh it’s a prety grim story behind it and sinister, but that’s what i wanted to put across. The storyline is mine but was inspired by Nightwish, which is where the lyrics came from." | |
| 5 Nov 2010 | Jamie Kelm | Loading...Ah! What an intense piece of work you have here! I love how such simple shades of color can bring such emotion! Love, lust, hurt, passion! I feel a deep despair with this piece through the words, only the color doesn’t make me feel sad, but almost hopeful. THe ray of light is dark and not bright. Is this a light of darkness or a light of hope? Sometimes I feel the light of despair is not outside of me, but something I create from within. I realize that all struggles are created by my own thoughts and perceptions. Beautiful piece, I would love to hear the song~! Sam Adams replies: "Well i think i used the red because the lighting in old movies often goes red at a time of danger or dakness. The ray is also an aniti-light, so yes darkness. But it is an awesome, powerful song. Thank you so much for such a great comment and reading so much into my work !" | |
| 19 Nov 2010 | Wayne H. Hodge | Loading...Although there are a few mistakes they don’t take away from the over all beauty of the piece. But until I read the description I did think that the Elf was a boy. *grins* But good job none the less. Sam Adams replies: "hee hee thank you, her breasts certainly aren’t obvious !" | |
