"Wolf´s Rain: Hige and Kiba" by Sam Adams

The white wolf, Kiba (Fang), is the main character of Wolf's Rain. He is the one who leads the group, driven on by his desperate search for 'Paradise'. He tends to be very impulsive and acts more with his heart than his head, with his pride initially preventing him from taking human form. Arriving injured at Freeze city he is taken to an experimental lab where he is rescued by Hige (Whisker). Carefree and a bit of a womaniser, this fun-loving wolf is driven more by his stomach than by any belief in 'Paradise' but joins Kiba in his search all the same. Able to fit well into human society, Hige is able to be of great help to Kiba. Hige also has a great sense of smell (perfect for finiding food!) and wears a collar, even in human form, though he has no memories of where this came from. Together, he and Kiba form a perfect, if not slightly odd, partnership.

‘Wolf’s Rain’ is an anime series created by and copyrighted to Keiko Nobumoto and produced by Bones Studio. It focuses on the journey of four lone wolves who cross paths while following the scent of the Lunar Flowers. They form a pack and decide to seek out the Flower Maiden in order to open the way to Paradise. Along the way, they must avoid a fanatical wolf hunter and the nobles who wish to use the Flower Maiden to create their own Paradise.
