SciFi and Fantasy Art Alchemist by Christina Joy Sanders

This was one of those pistures where, even though I felt like I'd planned it all out beforehand, it changed drastically as I worked so that alot of things felt into place without much thought. Some things worked out well in spite of that, but her dress isn't what I had hoped it would be, and the perspective on the table is off. I have a vague thought of making some sort of series out of it; women and magic or something, but I have a very bad track record with such things.

The table feels a little awkward. however, I think (not sure) that it’s technically correct, (in a real room a chest on the floor, the shelves, and the table would probably not line up) And the first impression is not of an incorrect table anyway I really love the piece as a whole.

7 Jan 2009	Jeanette M Thomas	Loading... Colors and shadings are magnificent. But - would 3/4 length gloves be workable in a lab situation? Granted they are more elegant, but short gloves would be more practical protection, and more easily disposable after the experiments. Tying the hair back while she works is a good touch. LOVE the little cauldron.
