You still need some practice (heck, all of us does) specially on how you present your drawings. I think, the only advice I can give, is to give your characters more movement. Coloring your drawings is not as hard as it sounds. If you do not have a coloring application yet, you should download GIMP. It's not as powerful as Photoshop, but you can practice coloring your characters with it.
