	Done with a mechanical #2 pencil on cream-colored paper, I scanned it in as a black and white picture. I decided at this point to experiment with shading, so you'll find it's probably off a bit. You can see I've come a long way since this by my current pieces.

All my dragons are inspired by and can find their roots close to Pernese artistry. These two actually respresent Tolakazar and Dalmatia, the main characters in an unfinished novel thread I started when I was 16--8 years ago. Very keen eye, however, in noticing their roots. You'll find a similar style in the dragon on the cover of "Chronicles of Pern: First Fall." Thank you for your comments on my work. "
