Yes, paper dolls :). This was a work for the cover of the upcoming book 'Character Customization' by Throwing Dice Games. These are not all the customs, you can check the cover layout Joe Mucchiello did at the company's website, that has all the clothes and extras in it.

It was a lot of fun, by the way. And my first work for a commercial RPG product :)

This is too cool! I can't wait to see it finished! (Any idea when that might be?) I think we could use these on the days that we forget (or haven't adequately painted) our minis... LOL

(I'm assuming you're a gamer? I'm supposed to be creating a character for a new D&D campaign tonight, so I am searching the web for inspiration...)

Absolutely intriguing and beautiful!
But just one thing... Please! it is disturbing to see an axe in the hands of such nimble characters as elves

Excellent use of one medium to describe another. I particularly like the two different styles of costume for elf and Lady.

Concerning Axes and Elves, it is the hand that wields the weapon that adds nimbleness or the lack thereof.

Greeeeaaattt! Paperdolls! You are the third person in Elfwood, together with me, who I ever saw doing paperdolls. just... yours are so great I really could jealous. You have mega-much talent, you know. You have so much movements, great poses and colours. I wish I could draw as good as you - and I mean ALL your pictures!

1 Santiago Iborra replies: "Thanks Uta! The truth is that it would have never ocurred to me to do paper dolls, but it was required for the cover. It was real fun in the end, trying to imagine different objects that looked ok with the poses."

Ah! Paper dolls. Not many people on elfwood do them, and these ones are very nice indeed! One thing I would suggest, however, would be to fill in the blank bits of the woman's sandals with skin colour- all those little bits to cut out would be very delicate, and would get torn all too easily, I think. They are truly beautiful all the same. The costumes are lovely!

Cool! Love the armour with the Saint Georges cross (Go England, boo for the World cup. Disgrace to our name- lol) Really good drawings - and the poses of the figures (and costumes) are amazing -Emma
